On this day, 23 years ago, India fought ‘Operation Vijay’ in Kargil which had been occupied by Pakistan's army. 200,000 Indian troops were mobilised the emerged victorious. Since then, Kargil Vijay Diwas is commemorated on 26th July to honour the sacrifices made by the soldiers of the Indian Army. Watch to know more
