"The unprecedented rebellion of 40 MLAs of Shivsena led by Eknath Shinde, threatened to break Shivsena into two. While, at this moment Uddhav Thackeray faction seems to be on the backfoot, both Uddhav and his son Aaditya are now canvassing across the state, trying to rebuild party with remaining workers. On the other hand, Eknath Shinde has moved Election Commission to stake claim over Shivsena. The ECI has also issued a notice to both factions to prove their majority. Uddhav Thackeray camp has moved SC against the EC notice.
But in the last 2 months while the Shivsena was facing a major crisis, uddhav Thackeray addressed party workers many a times. However. Probably for the first time after the rebellion, he has spoken at length about the rebellion, what happened and party’s future in an interview for Shivsena Mouthpiece Saamana. The interview was conducted by Saamana’s acting editor Sanjay Raut.
