Flash floods triggered by cloudburst wreaked havoc near the Amarnath holy shrine as 25 tents and 3 community kitchens were damaged. Officials informed that at least 15 persons are dead and 40 are still missing. Rescue operations by the Indian Army, ITBP and NDRF are underway near the cave. The yatra which began after a gap of 3 years has been temporarily suspended as weather conditions still remain grave.
