While consumers dig deep into their pockets for food, motorists and public utility drivers get little reprieve this week.

Kerosene, which many households use, will have an even bigger price cut at three pesos and 40 centavos per liter while gasoline prices are steady.

Recent numbers from the Energy department show fuel prices have risen to up to ₱99 as of end-June.

But the rollback doesn't mean drivers no longer need help. Thousands of tricycle drivers have yet to receive the promised fuel subsidy from the Duterte administration.
