Chief Justice NV Ramana said that there is a misconception among the political parties in the country that the judiciary should take forward the political agenda. The party in power believes that every act of the government deserves judicial sanction. On the other hand, opposition parties expect the judiciary to take forward their political stand and objectives.

चीफ जस्टिस एनवी रमणा ने कहा कि देश में राजनीतिक दलों के बीच यह गलत धारणा है कि न्यायपालिका को राजनीतिक एजेंडे को आगे बढ़ाना चाहिए. सत्ता में मौजूद पार्टी यह मानती है कि सरकार का हर कार्य न्यायिक मंजूरी का हकदार है. वहीं, विपक्षी दलों को उम्मीद होती है कि न्यायपालिका उनके राजनीतिक रुख और उद्देश्यों को आगे बढ़ाएगी.
