To make online payments more secure, the Reserve Bank had introduced card tokenization last year itself, which will be implemented from July 1. Its deadline was earlier 1 January 2022. Which was increased to 1 July 2022. RBI made card-on-file token mandatory for exchange. After this rule, now from July 1, the payment of customers will be more secure. According to the RBI instructions, customers' credit or debit card details will have to be converted into an encrypted token, with the help of which payment can be made.

ऑनलाइन पेमेंट को और अधिक सुरक्षित बनाने के लिए रिजर्व बैंक ने पिछले साल ही कार्ड टोकनाइजेशन की शुरुआत की थी, जिसे 1 जुलाई से लागू किया जाएगा. इसकी डेडलाइन पहले 1 जनवरी 2022 थी. जिसे बढ़ाकर 1 जुलाई 2022 कर दिया गया. RBI ने मर्चेंज के लिए कार्ड-ऑन-फाइल टोकन को अनिवार्य कर दिया. इस नियम के बाद अब 1 जुलाई से ग्राहकों के पेमेंट और ज्यादा सुरक्षित होगा. RBI ने निर्देश के मुताबिक ग्राहकों के क्रेडिट या डेबिट कार्ड की डिटेल को एन्क्रिप्टेड टोकन में बदलना होगा, जिसकी मदद से पेमेंट की जा सकेगी.
