2002 Gujarat riots: SC judgement proves allegations were politically motivated, says Amit Shah

Reacting to the Supreme Court’s judgement on Zakia Jafri’s plea against SIT’s clean chit to then CM Narendra Modi and others in 2002 Gujarat riots case, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on June 25 said that the judgement has proven that those were politically motivated allegations. During an interview with ANI’s Smita Prakash, HM Shah said, “SC dismissed all allegations. You can say that in a way, Supreme Court judgment has proven that these are politically motivated allegations.” “Such a tall leader fought this long fight without saying a word and braving all pain like ‘vishpaan’ of Lord Shankar. I have seen him suffering through this, very closely. Only a strong-willed person could have taken the stand to not say anything as the case was sub-judice,” he added.
