Agnipath protests: Bihar Deputy CM appeals protesters to maintain peace

As the protests against the Agnipath military recruiting plan intensified, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad appealed to the people of Bihar on Saturday to keep the peace.

Massive protests have been reported in Bihar, where an angry mob set fire to dozens of trains and damaged public property in several cities and towns, prompting police to suspend internet services in nearly a third of the state. Vandalism on railway properties has cost the state over Rs 200 crore.
