This is a past that has still not been buried, whose aftermath continues to linger on. This is a memory, the fragments of which still torment the collective conscience of a religious community. The spectre of horror, killings, chest-thumping and sacrilege has still not been exorcised and every year, the demon comes alive to torment and traumatise millions.
