An Eld’s deer, also known as thamin or brow-antlered deer, was seen sharpening its antler against a tree in Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary where it was recently released.

The endangered animal, which is indigenous to Southeast Asia, was born and raised at the nursing centre of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation in Si Sa Ket province.
