भीषण गर्मी में इंसान ही नहीं बल्कि बेजुबान जानवर भी व्याकुल हैं, इस बढ़ती गर्मी को देखते हुए पुडुचेरी के अरुलमिगु मनाकुला विनयगर मंदिर प्रशासन ने अपने हाथी को ठंडा रखने के लिए विशेष इंतजाम किए हैं। हथिनी लक्ष्मी लू की चपेट में ना आए इसके लिए इस दिन में तीन घंटे स्नान करवाया जाता है
