On May 3, there is the festival of Akshaya Tritiya. Worshiping Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi on Akshaya Tritiya gives auspicious results. According to the Puranas, Lord Parashurama was born on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. According to astrologer Dr Shonu Mehrotra, this year on Akshaya Tritiya, three Raja Yogas are being formed along with Abujha Muhurta. Due to which this Akshaya Tritiya will be special. The festival of Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated every year on the third day of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. On the day of Akshaya Tritiya, by doing auspicious work, charity, bathing, worship and penance, auspicious results are obtained. There is also a tradition of buying gold and silver jewelery on this day. By buying gold and silver on this day, bringing home the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi remains.
