MATTHEW, 25, met Nuve, 25, on Tinder two and a half years ago in Orlando, Florida. He was initially dubious about Nuve’s interest, but after a week they met in person, hit it off and have been together ever since. Matthew knew from a young age that he was a trans man. He told Truly that from “fourth grade, when you start going through puberty was when I was like, oh yeah no, I’m not a girl”. Eight months into their relationship Matthew became pregnant and now they have become a family with baby Lotus. Nuve’s family were initially wary of his relationship with Matthew, finding it difficult to accept his transgender identity due to their religious beliefs. “I had to keep saying, you guys know this is not my friend, right? I made a whole baby with this person.”
