The plea came as Covid-19 cases in Shanghai eased, for the first time in about two weeks. Outbreak of the highly contagious Omicron variant began in Shanghai nearly a month ago, reported Reuters. As reported by Reuters, on March 30, Shanghai recorded 5,298 locally transmitted new asymptomatic cases and 355 symptomatic cases.
