Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a six-day lockdown from 10 pm on Monday till 5 am on April 26 which he said was necessary to deal with the rising number of Covid-19 cases as the healthcare system has reached its "limits" in the city. All essential services will be allowed during the lockdown. Meanwhile, India has registered its highest-ever single-day spike of over 2.73 lakh Covid-19 cases, according to the Union health ministry, pushing India's caseload to 1,50,61,919.
