New data shows one in five aged care residents are being given anti-psychotic medication - drugs that the aged care royal commission has linked to chemical restraint. The senate has passed a bill to address recommendations from the inquiry, which included an amendment from South Australian senator Rex Patrick, to require a registered nurse on site of every aged care home at all times.
