A computational modeling study by National University of Singapore published recently, estimates that the Sabah state election last year had resulted in some 3,000 Covid-19 cases in the first few weeks after polling day, and had ‘seeded’ the third wave. Does this mean that elections, like the one Sarawak is expected to have, should be cancelled or delayed? How do we avoid repeating the mistakes made in the Sabah election?
