Birbhum: 8 Dead After TMC Leader's Death, Mamata Banerjee Hits Back After Governor's 'Death Orgy' Comment

On March 22, a mob allegedly threw bombs in Bogtui village in Birbhum, Bengal. Eight people died in the tragedy. The incident took place close to dawn. The central government has sought a report on the alleged political violence. 10 houses were left burnt. Reports suggest that the violence took place in retaliation of the murder of a Trinamool Congress panchayat leader, Bhadu Sheikh. CM Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankar clashed over the incident once again. Dhankhar said it was a horrifying violence and arson orgy. Banerjee slammed Dhankar for his comments.
