Sonica Glasgow 2022 | 10 – 20 March 2022

Liminal is a playful interactive artwork by Louis-Philippe Rondeau investigating transformation, mutation and portals into the unknown. In Liminal, participants can step back and forth through a hooped scanner to generate moving funhouse collages that stretch and distort their own image, streaming and fading out in an unending chain. Try different movements to see the shapes that result, variously comical, grotesque or strangely beautiful.

A world premiere for Louis-Philippe Rondeau’s new interactive artwork. A mystical vortex hangs in the air, swirling with light and fog, while a deeply resonant choral soundtrack plays out. The real magic comes as you step inside the tunnel of light, to discover how every movement not just creates beautiful shadow-play, but alters the music itself, transforming audience members into light and sound.
