Uttarakhand student returns to India from war-torn Ukraine with his pet dog

Rishab Kaushik, who is pursuing Engineering in the city of Kharkiv of Ukraine, returned to his home in Uttarakhand along with his dog Malibu. Speaking to ANI, he talked about the difficulties he faced while bringing his pet to India. He had also urged the Central government on Instagram to allow No Objection Certificate (NOC) in this regard.
He said, “There was a lot of documentation in India, procedure was long. But in war-like situations, they should have allowed their own citizens. So, I had put up the appeal. A memorandum had come recently which stated that pets and even strays are now being allowed without NOC.”
