QiDAO Token Crashes After Superfluid Contract Exploit

In a Tuesday report, hackers were able to steal $13 million of crypto tokens after exploiting the QiDAO vesting contract on Superfluid. A Twitter update came on Tuesday from the Ethereum-based money streaming protocol known as Superfluid. The platform said that it was looking into the potential for an exploit of the QiDAO contract. The statement read, “We are investigating a potential protocol layer exploit. As a precaution, please do unwrap all your Supertokens. The attackers might be targeting wallets or contracts with large amounts.”What does Superfluid do? It uses an ERC-20 token called the Super Token, allowing users to perform multiple tasks in just one transaction. By wrapping tokens, users can start a money stream without paying additional gas or transaction fees. A recent update included that all funds were safe. No user funds were lost. Other tokens might have been affected, Qi bridging is paused and more updates are coming. According to analytics firm Slow Mist, the hackers made a total profit of about $13 million on several tokens.
