Ecuador: Heaviest Rainfall In Twenty Years Triggers Mudslides, Floods Killing At Least 24 People

At least 24 people have been killed due to a huge landslide triggered by heaviest rainfall in Quito, Ecuador for almost 20 years. Nearly a dozen people are missing and 48 people have been left injured, reported AFP. Several houses have been left injured. Roads, agricultural areas, clinics, schools, electric power substation were all left damaged. Authorities have declared three days of mourning starting Tuesday, reported AFP.
