मौनी अमावस्या का हिंदू धर्म में विशेष महत्व है। माघ मास में पड़ने वाली अमावस्या को मौनी अमावस्या या माघ अमावस्या के नाम से भी जानते हैं। इस साल मौनी अमावस्या 1 फरवरी 2022, मंगलवार को पड़ रही है। इस दिन माघ का दूसरा शाही स्नान होता है। धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, मौनी अमावस्या के दिन शनिदेव और पितरों से संबंधित है। इस बार अमावस्या दो दिन रहेगी, जिससे सोमवार और मंगलवार दोनों स्नान-दान का पुण्य प्राप्त कर सकेंगे। इस साल मौनी अमावस्या पर भौमवती अमावस्या का दुर्लभ संयोग बन रहा है।
