हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार इस बार मौनी अमावस्या 1 फरवरी 2022, मंगलवार को है। अमावस्या तिथि मंगलवार को पड़ने के कारण इसे भौमी अमावस्या भी कहते हैं। हालांकि कुछ लोग मौनी अमावस्या 31 जनवरी को बता रहे हैं, लेकिन ज्योतिषाचार्यों के मुताबिक स्नान दान व पूजा के लिए 01 फरवरी को अमावस्या तिथि शुभ मानी जा रही है। धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार इस दिन संगम पर सभी देवी देवताओं का वास होता है, इसलिए कहा जाता है क‍ि मौनी अमावस्या पर पवित्र नदी में स्नान करने से निरोगी काया प्राप्त होती है और मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है।
