Tata Group Takes Over Air India, Says ‘Welcome Back’ To The Airline After 69 Years

Tata Sons, the leading shareholder in the Tata group of companies officially took over national airline Air India on January 27. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran met with PM Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman after the official hand over was completed. The group tweeted “Welcome back” to the airline as Air India returned to the Tata Group after 69 years.
