Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, BJP leader Amit Shah met leaders and influencers from the Jat community of western Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Union minister Sanjeev Balyan, state minister Bhupendra Chaudhary and other senior leaders.

Meanwhile, ahead of the assembly election in Punjab next month, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will head to the state on Thursday to put on a show of strength accompanied by all 117 candidates fielded by the party.
