Why tomato prices soar high all of sudden? Know

These days the price of tomatoes is soaring high. A kilo of tomato selling at Rs 140 per kilogram costs nearly 40 percent more than a liter of petrol, which is selling at Rs 101 in the capital of Tamil Nadu. Not just in Chennai, in most Indian states and cities tomato is the new gold. Similarly, Kerala residents are buying vegetables at Rs 120 per kilo. In Delhi, tomatoes are being sold at nearly Rs 60-80 per kilo. Watch this video.
