South Thanet MP, Craig Mackinlay's, welcomed the announcement that live animal exports could be banned after Brexit.

The exports have been taking place from the Port of Ramsgate for many years and there has been a long running campaign to stop them.

It comes after environment secretary, Micheal Gove, has launched a new consultation on the ban.
