Telegu Desam Party (TDP) national president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday decided to boycott the state Assembly till the 2024 election, protesting against the "ugly character assassinations" by the ministers and MLAs of the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led ruling YSRCP government.

Addressing a press conference at the TDP central office, Chandrababu Naidu broke into tears and said he was not able to bear the insults being hurled on a personal level. "What happened in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly today was like Draupadi's molestation by Kauravas in the presence of Pandavas in the epic tale Mahabharat," Naidu said.
