Schools in one of the most deprived areas of Sheppey have asked parents to pay £25 a year to help them tackle a cash shortage.

Headteachers say they need the money to balance their books.

It comes after hundreds of teachers are staging a march today in Westminster to call for more government funding.

We asked shoppers in Chatham if they think schools should ask parents for additional funding.
