Kent MP hails controversial plans to reinstate Manston as an airport

It'll create hundreds of jobs and boost East Kent's economy by more than £300m.

That's the hopes of North Thanet MP Sir Roger Gale as controversial plans to reinstate Manston as an airport have been approved.

Despite fierce concerns over noise and air pollution the proposal to turn the disused airfield in Ramsgate into a freight cargo air hub has been rubber stamped by Transport Ministers.
