Ministry Of External Affairs Responds To US Report Of Chinese Villages In Disputed Territory Near Arunachal Pradesh, Calls Them 'Unjustified Claims'

On November 11, Ministry of External Affairs responded on the controversy about the Chinese coming into the Indian territory and building a new village. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arimdam Bagchi said, “India has neither accepted such illegal occupation of our territory nor has it accepted the unjustified Chinese claims.” The US Department of Defence, in its recent report, said China built a large village inside disputed territory between its Tibet Autonomous Region and India's Arunachal Pradesh, reported PTI. Bipin Rawat, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) said the controversy is \"not true\". He added that the villages were well within the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
