After apple and rajma, the Harshil valley of Uttarakhand has started smelling with the fragrance of saffron of Kashmir. Yes, Kashmir is famous for saffron. It has its own importance due to the purity of Kashmiri saffron. But now the fragrance of saffron of Kashmir is spreading in Uttarakhand too. Significantly, the plan for production of saffron in Harshil valley of Uttarkashi seems to be taking off.

सेब और राजमा के बाद उत्तराखंड की हर्षिल घाटी (Harshil valley) में कश्मीर (Kashmir) के केसर (Kesar) की खुशबू से महकने लगी है। जी हां वैसे तो केसर के लिए कश्मीर फेमस है। कश्मीरी केसर की पवित्रता के कारण इसका अपना महत्व है। लेकिन अब उत्तराखंड में भी कश्मीर के केसर की खूशबू बिखर रही है। गौरतलब है कि उत्तरकाशी के हर्षिल घाटी में केसर उत्पादन की योजना परवान चढ़ती नजर आ रही है.
