Every year on October 9, World Post Day is celebrated in the country and the world. Today, World Postal Day is being celebrated in the state, country and around the world. On October 9, 1874, 22 countries signed a treaty in Switzerland to form the Universal Postal Union. Since then, World Post Day is celebrated on 9 October every year. India became a member of the 'Universal Postal Union' on 1 July 1876. The interesting thing is that the world's highest post office is in Himachal Pradesh of our country.

हर साल 9 अक्टूबर को देश और दुनिया में विश्व डाक दिवस मनाया जाता है. आज प्रदेश, देश और दुनिया भर में विश्व डाक दिवस मनाया जा रहा है.विश्व डाक दिवस यूनिवर्सल पोस्टल यूनियन के गठन के लिए 9 अक्टूबर 1874 को स्विटजरलैंड में 22 देशों ने संधि की थी. उसके बाद से हर साल 9 अक्टूबर को विश्व डाक दिवस मनाया जाता है. भारत एक जुलाई 1876 को ‘यूनिवर्सल पोस्टल यूनियन’ का सदस्य बना था. रोचक बात यह है कि विश्व का सबसे ऊंचे पोस्ट ऑफिस हमारे देश के हिमाचल प्रदेश में है.
