Microsoft Enters Metaverse Race , With 3D Avatars and Mesh for Teams.
On Nov. 2, the tech giant made some big announcements pertaining to the metaverse at its Ignite conference.
For Teams meetings where users don't want to be on camera, 3D avatars will now be available.
The avatars are part of 'Mesh for Teams.' .
Mesh for Teams combines the ability to share experiences in virtual and augmented reality via Microsoft's Mesh platform with Teams.
It can be accessed with anything from a smartphone to a VR headset or HoloLens.
