PM Narendra Modi Commits To Carbon-Neutral India By 2070, Prime Minister’s Big Pledge At COP26

On November 1, PM Narendra Modi at the COP26 summit in Glasgow said that India will achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2070. The pledge was among the five commitments by PM Modi at the UN Conference. He said, “By 2070, India will achieve the target of net zero.” India is the third-biggest emitter of greenhouse gases in the world only after China and the United States. The European Union, the United States and Britain have set a target of 2050 to achieve net zero. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and China have both set targets of 2060. Watch the video to know more.
