Actor Taryn Manning is unsure how she ended up being typecast into dark roles like Pennsatucky in "Orange is the New Black." "When I was younger I used to fight against it so much, I said, 'No, I want to play the girl next door," says Manning, explaining that now she's turning down roles if they are too similar to the addicted, downtrodden sorts she's played before. "I just can't do it anymore because how does the universe know whether you're acting or not acting when you're putting your whole heart into it."
