Before Diwali comes the festival of Dhanteras which is celebrated on the Trayodashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month (Happy Dhanteras). According to religious beliefs, during the churning of the ocean, on the day of Dhanteras, Lord Dhanvantari had appeared with him with an urn of nectar and Ayurveda (Dhanteras Shubhkamna Sandesh). Since then the festival of Dhanteras is celebrated before Diwali (Diwali 2021). Lord Dhanvantari is also called the father of Ayurveda and medicine. On the day of Dhanteras Wishes, people bring gold and silver jewelery and any new items (Dhanteras Wishes Message 2021) to the house.

दिवाली से पहले धनतेरस का त्योहार आता है जो कि (Happy Dhanteras) कार्तिक मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की त्रयोदशी के दिना मनाया जाता है. धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार समुद्र मंथन के दौरान धनतेरस के दिन भगवान धनवंतरी अपने साथ अमृत का कलश व आयुर्वेद (Dhanteras Shubhkamna Sandesh) लेकर प्रकट हुए थे. जिसके बाद से दिवाली (Diwali 2021) से पहले धनतेरस का त्योहार मनाया जाता है. भगवान धनवंतरी को आयुर्वेद व औषधि का जनक भी कहा जाता है.
