On "Salon Talks," the former presidential and NYC mayoral candidate explains why this approach to voting discourages negative campaigning and encourages coalition-building among candidates. Yang uses the 2016 Republican primary as an example saying that if ranked-choice voting was used, "Trump probably does not win the nomination."
