Rajendra, a resident of Hasanpur village in Bijnor, who has been playing Dashratha in Ramlila for 20 years in a row, has died on the Ramleela stage. The incident took place on the night of October 14. The incident sent shock waves across the region. After which the staging of Ramlila in honour of late Rajendra was stopped.

भगवान श्रीराम (Sri Ram) के वनवास जाने पर वियोग में उनके पिता और अयोध्या के राजा दशरथ (Dashrath) ने अपने प्राण त्याग दिए थे। वहीं दृश्य रामलीला (Ramlila) के मंच पर चल रहा था। राम वियोग के मंचन में दशरथ बने कलाकार ने राम राम पुकारना शुरु किया। और सांसे त्याग दी। सभी को लगा कि कलाकार अभिनय कर रहा है। लेकिन कलयुग के इस दशरथ ने सचमुच प्राण त्याग दिए।
