The festival of Dussehra or Vijayadashami marks the victory of truth over untruth. Lord Shri Ram killed Ravana on this day. Since then there is a tradition of celebrating Dussehra. Vijayadashami is being celebrated across the country. On this Occasion Dressed up devotees performed dance before the deity at Sri Mutharamman Temple in Coimbatore, earlier today, during Dasara festival celebrations.

दशहरा (Dussehra) या विजयदशमी (Vijayadashami ) का त्योहार असत्य पर सत्य की जीत का प्रतीक है। भगवान श्रीराम ने आज के दिन ही रावण का वध किया था। तभी से दशहरा मनाने की परंपरा है। देशभर में विजयदशमी की धूम देखी जा रही है। इस दिन रावण दहन भी किया जाता है।दशहरा उत्सव समारोह के दौरान, Coimbatore के Sri Mutharamman Temple में पारंपरिक कपड़ें पहनकर तैयार भक्तों ने देवता के सामने किया नृत्य ।
