Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Ashish Mishra to remain in judicial custody for time being

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra, who was arrested on October 9 was produced before the Judicial Magistrate and will remain in judicial custody, for the time being, informed his legal advisor Awadhesh Kumar on October 10. “Hearing on Monday- Oct 11 over whether he should be given police custody or not. Police had sought 3-day custody, which we had objected to,” Kumar said. Ashish Mishra was accused of mowing down farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3.
