The importance of women has started increasing in the top administrative posts in the country. Let us inform that women collectors have been appointed in 9 out of 14 districts of Kerala. The administrative control of Kerala's capital Thiruvananthapuram and its neighboring districts of Kollam and Pathanamthitta is in the hands of women collectors. The women collectors have also been given the command of Kottayam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts.
