Amid Punjab Congress turmoil in the state, a big step has been taken by Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi regarding Navjot Singh Sidhu's displeasure in Punjab. In order to satisfy Navjot Singh Sidhu, the Punjab Government has directed the appointment of senior advocate Rajwinder Singh Bains of Punjab-Haryana High Court as Special Public Prosecutor to plead the cases of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and subsequent firing on protesters.
