Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi addressed the press conference at Punjab Civil Secretariat on Wednesday. In his address, CM Channi made a big announcement that the power connection will be restored again. The bill for those using electricity up to 2KW will be waived off. On behalf, Punjab Government will pay an electricity bill of Rs 1200 crore. Electricity bills of the poor will be waived. 53 lakh families will benefit from this. For this, a committee will be constituted at the block level. It will be implemented from today itself and the Government will pay the electricity bills till August.
