Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has suggested a series of steps which, he believes, the Punjab government should take to avoid the major power crisis that has erupted in the state. Amid this, there are reports that Sidhu himself didn't pay the bill from the last 9 months. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday ordered government offices to reduce their timings after electricity demand in the state soared to over 14,000 MW a day due to the intense heatwave that has hit North India.
