A day after Congress appointed Chamkaur Sahib MLA Charanjit Singh Channi as the first Dalit chief minister of Punjab on Sunday, Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that he has given hope to the people and now he is feeling "changa" (happy).

"I am feeling "changa". Rahul Gandhi has not only appointed a chief minister but also given hope to the people and respected the Constitution. I am proud that he has created a history in the land of Punjab. Even the new chief minister has started working on the promises he has made to the people. Today only four or five decisions will be taken in a benevolent manner," the Punjab Congress chief said.
