Soon after submitting his resignation, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday said that Navjot Singh Sidhu is a total disaster for Punjab.

In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Captain Amarinder Singh said, "I will never allow that man [Sidhu] to come to power. He is an anti-national element. I will not allow him. He is too mixed up with Pakistan."

"The man [Sidhu] is an incompetent man. He was the minister for local self-government; he never claimed his files for seven months. I've known him since he was three years old. The man is now a total disaster," he added.
