T-20 World Cup-winning Sri Lanka pacer Nuwan Kulasekara announced retirement from international cricket with immediate effect on Wednesday, according to local media reports in Sri Lanka. Kulasekara's retirement comes days after his former new-ball partner Lasith Malinga said he would retire from ODIs after the first match against Bangladesh on July 26. Nuwan Kulasekara, 37, was not part of Sri Lanka's World Cup 2019 squad and last played for the senior national team in 2017. Kulasekara hadn't played competitive cricket at the senior level since March 2018 during which he played List-A cricket.
