Nagraj Manjule- Trendsetter Entertainment (Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards 2017)

Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards 2017: As a filmmaker, Manjule focusses on discriminated and the marginalised in our society. Although his first film as a screenwriter cum director was a National award winning short film called Pistulya, Nagraj Manjule first came to notice with the much celebrated Fandry for which he won the Indira Gandhi award for First Film of a Director in 2014. Today he is known for his magnum opus hinterland romance Sairaat, a landmark film in Marathi Cinema.
